Samsung has been releasing monthly security updates for its handsets for some time, that is about to change for the Samsung Galaxy S7.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 is three years old and now Samsung has revealed that all versions of the handset will now get quarterly security updates from now on instead of monthly ones.
The March security update will be the last monthly update for the Galaxy S7, the next one will be in three months time.
This will apply to both the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge from now on, Samsung will continue to release monthly updates for the Galaxy S7 Active.
This should mean that the handset will continue to get long term support for software updates for Samsung for some time to come.
