Samsung Galaxy Fold

Yesterday Samsung announced that they were finally launching their Galaxy Fold smartphone and now it has been revealed that the company has cancelled pre-orders of the handset in the US.

Samsung sent out an email to people who has pre-orders the handset in the US and has given them a $250 credit against any purchase at Samsung.com

These are people who had pre-ordered the handset back in April and then asked to confirm thay they were happy to wait until the new launch.

Ensuring that you have the best possible experience with this revolutionary new technology is our top priority. We are taking the time to rethink the entire customer experience – from purchase to unboxing, to post-purchase service – so in the meantime, we have, regrettably, decided to cancel your existing pre-order. While not an easy decision to make, we believe this is the right thing to do.

This means that the $250 can be used towards a purchase of a new Galaxy Fold handset or anything else on Samsung’s website.
