Contrary to what Mukesh Ambani said during its commercial launch, getting a Reliance Jio sim card these days is far from being easy. But even if you managed to get yourself one with some luck, using the sim card to its full potential is another headache.
The major issue faced by many Reliance Jio SIM card holders right now is that they aren’t able to make calls that easily. That said, there are many possible reasons for this.
How To Fix All Issues Of Reliance Jio Calling
Are you one of the users facing the Reliance Jio calls related issues? Check out for the possible solutions for all the call related issues on a Jio SIM card.
Phone Doesn’t Have Support for VoLTE
This is one of the major problems faced by many people over the country. This is not Reliance Jio’s problem, this is your smartphone’s problem. In order to make calls with Jio SIM card, your smartphone should have support for VoLTE. Having just LTE support doesn’t help in making calls. While LTE is just enough for data, its not sufficient to make voice calls. Now, the major question which arises is what is VoLTE? It is a feature which allows voice calls through mobile data and for that your mobile data needs to be turned on all the time for making voice calls.
But You Don’t need to worry, Reliance has a solution to this issue of not having VoLTE support. You have to download Jio4GVoice app which was formerly known as JioJoin. Just download the application from Google Play Store and setup. Now, you will be able to make calls from your Jio SIM card and the application even has support for HD video calls.
Mobile Data should be turned on (Jio):
Another problem with Jio Sim is your calls will be connected when the mobile data is turned on with Jio 4G, however, the calls won’t be connected when the mobile data is turned off.
So just make sure your mobile data of Jio 4G sim card is turned on. Your data connection should always be turned on while you contact someone using Jio 4G sim.
Tele-Verification for Calls need to be Done:
Reliance has separate Tele-Verifications for both calls and data. You Need to Call 1977 and enter last 4 digit number of ID Proof submitted by you to Reliance to Get Sim. Otherwise only Data will activate but calls are not.
Many telecom company are currently in dispute with Reliance over Jio. So if you keep getting a network busy alert, probably that’s because other networks have currently blocked you from calling their customers. In this case, you have no other way but to wait till these companies reach an agreement sometime in the foreseeable future.
- Open MyJio app and check your data usage.
- Then minimize this App and then try to call.
- this tip does work for me. Hope it works for you.
