Google has finally started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update for all the supported Nexus smartphones and tablets. After spending healthy of time with beta tag, the final build is ready for prime time. To remind you, Google has gone with a different strategy this year by opening the Android Beta program for the users who want to try out newest Android build before anyone else. This also allowed Developers to optimize their apps for the latest iteration of Android. Moreover, the Sony also participated in this program by pushing the Android 7.0 Nougat (Codenamed Android N) Developer build for Xperia Z3. The OTA update is staged, and it may take a couple of weeks to reach you.

How to check for update:
On your Android smartphone or tablet, Go to Settings > About Phone/Tablet > Software Updates.

LG V20 run on Android 7.0 Nougat:
Lastly, Google has reiterated that the LG V20 will be the first smartphone to be shipped with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It further cleared the clouds on the unannounced Nexus smartphones, which will become official after the V20’s release. All you have to do is just sign up for the Android Beta program here and proceed through the instructions. Once you are done, just go ahead and check for update. The official Android 7.0 should appear on your smartphone. As we mentioned above, only supported Nexus smartphones, tablets, as well as General Mobile 4G (Android One) owners can sign up for the Beta program.
